Abstract

Holy Qur’an is a revelation from God that contains facts and universal truth
encompassing all domains. The Holy Qur’an invites believers again and again to
ponder on its message and find treasures hidden within. Since the Prophet’s time,
Muslims have been finding guidance to discover new horizons in the fields of arts,
science, engineering and medicine. This talk will present an overview of how one
can initiate a research based on the Holy Qur’an. Three different research methods
will be discussed to illustrate areas of scientific discoveries that can be traced to
the Holy Qur’an and thus to predict the future research directions and discoveries
that can be made by pondering on the Holy Qur’an.
