Abstract

Background: Diabetes is a chronic disorder prevailing in both the developed and developing countries. There are many associated diseases with diabetes and diabetes itself is associated with a number of diseases and disorders. It is very important and strongly recommended to go for the management of this deadly disorder. Having knowledge about a disease can be very helpful in its management and treatment. Current study was done in order to access the knowledge of students of UOS about diabetes. 

Objectives: To assess the knowledge of students of UOS about diabetes. 

Methodology: 100 students were assessed from all over the institute by personal approach and the aim of study was demonstrated. Questionnaire was designed for the collection of data; data was collected by using questionnaire fill-up. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS 23; Chi Square Test and Frequency distribution were performed. 

Results and Conclusion: The Results from current survey articulated that the Students of University of Sargodha Possess good basic knowledge about the Diabetes except the few. In spite of the fact it needs to spread more detailed and in-depth knowledge about the fatal disease. Different sessions, seminars and conferences should be arranged primarily focusing knowledge about diabetes.
