What We’re Looking For

We seek guest editors with expertise in specific research areas who can curate and manage a special issue within our journals. Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous experience in editing, reviewing, or leading academic projects (preferred but not required)
• The ability to manage and communicate with contributing authors, reviewers, and the editorial team

How to Become a Guest Editor

If you are interested in curating a special issue for one of our journals, follow these steps:

1. Submit Your Application
   Provide a detailed CV that highlights your academic achievements, research experience, and relevant editorial experience. Include your area(s) of expertise and any previous experience you may have in editing or curating special issues.
2. Propose a Special Issue Topic
   In your application, include a brief proposal outlining the topic or theme for your special issue. Be sure to explain the relevance of the topic to current research trends, its potential impact on the field, and the types of research you would like to feature.
3. Outline Your Editorial Plan
   Describe your approach to managing the special issue, including your plans for inviting authors, selecting reviewers, and overseeing the manuscript review process. This will help us understand how you will ensure the quality and integrity of the issue.
4. Submit Your Application
   Send your application, including your CV, special issue proposal, and editorial plan, to editor@consortiumpublisher.ca. We will review your submission and get back to you with more details on the next steps.

Guest Editor Responsibilities

As a guest editor, your role will include:

• Selecting and Defining the Special Issue Theme: Choose a relevant, timely topic for the special issue and ensure it aligns with the journal's scope and objectives.
• Managing Manuscript Submissions: Invite submissions from authors and ensure they adhere to the journal's submission guidelines.
• Coordinating the Review Process: Oversee the peer-review process by selecting appropriate reviewers, coordinating feedback, and ensuring timely decisions.
• Providing Editorial Guidance: Offer feedback to authors to improve the quality and impact of their submissions while maintaining the integrity of the research.
• Collaborating with the Editorial Team: Work closely with our editorial staff to ensure that the special issue meets the journal's standards for quality and accuracy.
